Marsh Helleborine is an orchid and can be found flowering in the Burren between June and August. The Marsh Helleborine Orchid is native to Ireland. It's a perennial which grows up to 50cm in height. It has 5-8 leaves which are spirally arranged. It's flowers are stalked in 7-14 flowered inflorescence. The outer tepals are brownish or purplish green. It's inner tepals are whitish with purple veins. The Marsh Helleborine is declining. It can be found in marshes and wet pastures in the Burren.
